“The last testament of time stands before me, if this battle is lost, the world shall descend into darkness, and all hope shall be lost.”
Those were the famous last words of sir Myrad the greatest warrior of his time, before he rode into battle against the dark forces of what is only known today as the Abyss, The army of the darkest tyrant ever to set foot on the planes of Vispera.
As the noble knight breathed his last; his chest pierced with the blade of Karaka, the evil tyrant king, the empire darkened, as if someone pulled a sheet over the sun. Plants withered, cities crumbled, entire populations suddenly disappeared. Survivors were used as slaves to build the Dark king’s empire, and those who were skilled in fighting joined the Abyss. Karaka’s army grew and so did his empire, all hope left the people and they blindly accepted the new king’s rule, for if they did not, death surly followed. The lush fields and forests of Vispera turned to barren deserts, the darkened sky only making them look more inhospitable.
By some miracle however, one place remained, untouched by the darkness, free of the king’s evil reach. This, is where the prophesier stayed, the ancient elf knew this would happen and started her own army, though almost minuscule in size compared to the sheer vastness of Abyss, her warriors however possessed special gifts that made them much stronger, their training made them more educated in the strategies of battle. Many doubted the elf, but she foretold a prophesy, that a mighty army would rise to challenge the Abyss, the warriors would come in all talents and each one would know the way to the untouched city at birth.
That very prophesy was foretold long before the elf started to gather her small army, most of them came on their own, escaping from the wastes, refusing to join the Abyss. However, some were born in the free city and joined on their own.

Centuries past and one day the elf was found dead on her balcony, a small dagger protruding from her neck. Some suspected a traitor, while others insisted that it was a hired assassin, hired by Karaka’s court to relieve the threat. Despite the elf’s death, the army continued to grow on its own, until the city could not hold all the warriors, forcing them to go out and seek an area to build a camp. They eventually found it, an area right at the edge of the dark king’s kingdom. Many perished trying to defend the small campsite, until a decision was made to build one of the largest forts of all time. The construction of the fort took years, some of the gifted already giving birth to second generations of the legendary warriors. Eventually the fort was completed and with it the second generation was old enough to fight.

You are the third generation of these warriors, the most powerful yet. The time has come to pit your wits against the Abyss, to show them your might with no mercy. A full age of time has passed and the dark king grows weaker, but do not be fooled. The scouts reported a large contingent of soldiers marching towards the fort Apreina, with no room for error and no way of escape it is now or never. Yet again the battle’s outcome will decide the future of the empire.

Rules:

1) no god moding
2) no killing another players character <without their consent>
3) no controlling another players character <without their consent>
4) No god clipping, your ammo <in this case arrows and crossbow bolts> will run out.
5) Any weapon can and will break.
6) Your magica will run out and depending on the spell it will fatigue you.
7) Also excessive use of your ability will fatigue you too.
8) You may have up to 3 characters
9) I can change these rules as I see fit

Half human, yet she won’t reveal her other half, even though it is rather easy to deduce from her nightly outings and her preferred eating habits.

as silent as she is deadly Carra is an experienced assassin, as expected she is rather quiet, but given the chance she will talk your ear off.
Abilities:
Her speed is her greatest weapon, at will she can increase her speed to either escape from an enemy, or to cut of its retreat.

One of her traits were passed onto her by her father, are her eyes. Her eyes are so sensitive that she can spot things that many cannot, it also helps her with finding the right opportunity to sink her throwing knives into the neck of her victim.

Because of her heritage, carra can infect others and turn them into lesser vampires, but some of the time she chooses just to make them into minoins, using them to carry out some of her missions.

Her last ability also contributes to her success as an assassin, the ability to modify her weight without changing her figure, she can be as light as air or as heavy as a boulder at her will.
Weapons:
Carra prefers throwing knives and has a deadly accuracy with them, but she carries a dagger that she hides in her boot. She occasionally uses an old hunting bow that she had taken off one of her targets. Last but not least she carries two vials of a potent poison that she either coats her blades with, or slips it into her enemy’s food and drink, if the need calls for it.
Bio:
Carra was born in the fort as it was being built, that in itself suggests her real age to about ninety years or more, making her to be one of the very first third generations. Her abilities aided the elder at the time to appoint her as an assassin, mainly because she excelled at it. The elders choices were just for show and by the time the others of the generation came of age the new elder had ruled it out, making it possible for any to choose their profession regardless of their skills.
Manny called Carra small for her age, but they were instantly silenced when they observed her skill. Carra developed a friendship with one of the most unlikely people for her kind, and after saving Bren Moon’s life he became her constant companion.

Personality:
Although Bren is a werewolf he never appears in human form, saying that he prefers being the way he is ,when in truth he cannot change back for some unknown reason. Bren is very protective and quite friendly. He always tries to help where he can and will willingly jump in front of an ally in the heat of battle to protect them from an incoming blow.
Abilities:
Minor regeneration:
Bren can heal at a much faster rate than normal beings, however he cannot regenerate limbs other than minor appendages like his ear, which has been grown back close to twelve times already.

Blood rage:
If a friend or ally is badly hurt in front of Bren’s eyes he can go into a rage that successfully trebles his stamina, making him a fearsome foe indeed.

Telepathy:
Since his muzzle impends his speech he usually chooses to communicate by thought, sometimes projecting them to all the people in the room when he is making a report or confining in only one person when the topic needs an element of discretion. Most people are so used to Bren’s manner of speech that they take it as a normal thing. This ability also serves useful because Bren can talk to an individual some distance away.
Weapons:
Bren uses his spear <seen in pick> that he crafted himself. As a precautionary measure he also carries a large bone dagger at his waist. If both fail him he uses his superior size and strength against his opponent, a swipe of his paw at the right place could crush a man’s skull.
Bio:
Bren’s parents were from the fort, but he was born far from it. During a raiding party, both his parents were killed, only his blood rage saved him. Later he made it to the fort seeking shelter, recognising him because he looked like his parents he was taken in. shortly after the ordeal Bren found it near impossible to revert back to his human form. Accepting this he moved on, using his new body to his advantage. He found a friend in a vampire that later saved his life, feeling no hatred towards his new found friend he became her loyal companion, vowing never to leave her side.

plesae note that i added an abilty to Carra. you can edit your characters to have up to four abilities, but you cannot remove an existing ability, unless it gappens in the story line. also, please notify those in the RP by an OCC comment.

Personality: Your average antihero. He's not out to save the world. He just wants to get paid. He's not one to bond with others. He'd rather keep to himself that to pal around with others. most of that however comes from him being what he is. He was never really accepted by other people. Which actually suits him just fine. After all. Just because he's not on the side of the abyss doesn't mean he's a good guy.
Abilities<4max>: Demonic magic. Given his heratige it's no surprise that he's able to use some of the more darker spells around.
Demon rage. The blood that runs through his viens allows him to throw himself into a bezerker like rage when he feels threatened.
Demon Blood. Along with it allowing him to throw himself into a rage his blood also gives him greater agility than regular humans.
Weapons: anything. Though he prefers to use the weapons of his own people over what the people of the fort Apreina use.

Personality:
Friendly and cool headed most of the time but he has a bad temper

Abilities:
  • Healing Magic
    Elidor is able to use small amounts of healing magic. Hes not powerful in its use and is limited to being able to close flesh wounds, staunch bleeding for a short time and make a broken bone heal faster.
  • Celestial Form
    From his Aasimar heritage, Elidor is able to take on a 'Celestial Form'. in this form his strength and his skill with healing magic is increased. He also grows angelic wings which allow him to fly. The use of this form has side effects however. He will quickly begin to tire out if he spends to long it the form. If he spends more than half an hour in it he may go into a comatose state. Last time he spent too long in the form, he was in a coma for almost two years.

Elidor's past is complicated. He first came to the camp after a man by the name of Raistlin Grace found him, badly injured and in a coma after Elidor had been forced to use his Celestial Form. Raistlin treated his wounds and brought him to the Fort. When he finally awoke he quickly became use to the life at the Fort and it became his home

  • 'Shadow Weaving'
    Able to craft shadows into various items, such as swords, axes, arrows etc. He can only use it if there is a patch of dark shadows or during the night, he can't craft shadows when there ain't any shadows.
  • Shadow Magic
    A form of dark magic mixed with a small amount of light magic.
  • Minor Animal communication
    A gift he has had with him since birth is his ability to talk to the more 'mundane' types of animals. This is why he is accompanied by a black panther.

Weapons:
He doesn't carry any.

Bio:
Raistlin prefers to keep himself as a mystery. However there are rumors that Raistlin was around when the army made the campsite, before the keep was built

ok first time so please be nice.

Race:human mixed with various different creatures
Appearance:black overcoat with ginger hair and red earplugs in his ears often wears scout uniform when gathering infomation
Personality: A loner, would more or less explane his personality as his inhanced senses require him to be far away from most crowds and talkative people. but he is very intelligent and at heart a nice person but has learned to keep away from people.
Abilities:
super hearing: because of his mixed ancestry john has very good hearing so good he can hear a heart beat from 5 miles away,but to live even near the fort john has to put strong earplugs at all times and even then sound is still very loud
fingersmith: see roald dahl's the hitchhiker. Is able to steal anything off of anyone's person.
also good with growing things
Weapons: Anything someone else has on them. Has some blades that he keeps in a bag on his belt incase there is nothing to grab.
Bio: Born in the fort john had a good childhood before he hit puberty and his hearing kicked in and he ran form the fort into the woods where he met an man who made earplugs from stolen property and was taught by the man over many years how to steal to an astouding level. now he lives just outside the fort in a small hut and goes out to the local area to scout and spy on local people for infomation that can be usefull.

Personality: Asure is generally quiet, but can be friendly if he wants to be. He mostly preferrs to be alone, but unfortunately with Carra that isnt an often oppertunity. However, Asure often gets his moments when he will be unresponsive or fight back the pain because of the contrasting controlling megics, namely that of Carra, and that of Karaka.
Abilities:
Asure has the ability to read minds, however he cannot project his thoughts like Bren can.

As Carra found out in their fisrt battle Asure has the power to controll storms, what she dosn't know however is that when asure tends to get moody, it will rain, his mood has i direct effect on the weather. or vice versa. In reality if Asure is able to build up enough of a charge he can send out a short burst of lightning, but he only uses this in dire sircumstances as it takes a long time forhim to charge, and it will use up all of his remaining energy.

Asure also has the ability to controll lesser wether elements, but he dosnt have as much controll over them than that that he has over storm based elements. he also tends to get fatigued quite quickly from their use.

Lesser mage. Asure is facinated with the arcane arts and because of his elven heritage he is able to cast them with a slightly less dificulty than others. however, for some reson he dosnt like using his magic in battle because it severely drains him, the only 'spell' he likes or preferrs to use is that of controlling storms or things that have a slight magnetical charge to it.

Weapons: Asure has a red blade that Karaka himself gave to him, Even after reveiling on how he was being controlled by Karaka, he still continues to use it, claiming that it is a reminder to what he did.

Bio: Asure was taken captive by Karaka and the abyss for near 300 years, Karaka himself put the enchantment on Asure to obey all his commands, making him into one of his many personal minions, though not anywhere near as strong as one of the grand demons Asure showed to be a good fighter, although he lost some of his natural ability once Karaka enslaved him. He spent years killing innocents because Karaka willed it to be so, how he never ended up turning into a demon is a mystery.
After he was bitten by Carra Asure gained back some of his personality, however every now and then both of the magics inside him will conflict with each other, causing him either to gain more of his memory and personality, or loosing it inti the thrummings of the powers.
In earlyer days, Karaka's magic would of easily won the fight and Asure would go back into a rampage, but because the Tirant king is consentrated on larger matters, he does not bother strengthening his hold on Asure.

Personality: very protective of those close to him, and very evil towards those who hurt his friends.
Abilities<4max>:
1. ancestor's strength
Uses magica les than it regenerates, but is constant and unremoveable. This ability gives calliton hieghtened scenses during battle, and gives him the knowledge of all his anscestors, it often causes him to think strangely and unlike himself. It also causes great emotional stress during battle and causes great fatigue after battle. This power also increases his strength speed and agility during battle.

2. mystify
This power grants him the ability to see into a person's soul through their eyes. this power greatly fatigues him, and can cause great emotional stress. it can also cause him temporary or permanent memory loss (if he uses it on someone with great mental power)
Weapons: generally two katanas, but can almost always use any weapon he finds.. but he has trouble his bows and blunt weapons.
Bio<optional>: Calliton has lost most of his memory after using his power "mystify" on a great magician, the magician overwhelmed calliton, wiping most of his memory
